Absolutely love this little archery place. They have indoor outdoor archery ranges. Prices are inexpensive and the people are extremely friendly. ThereΓÇÖs a lot of good places out here, but if youΓÇÖre in the spring branch Canyon Lake area yΓÇÖall need to visit. It is great with a excellent selection of Bose And custom accessories.

I am 💯 new to bow hunting and started doing business here as they are close by. I have purchased equipment up until recently and have had many questions about archery. Regarding the negative reviews I will say that the family is a bit quirky but when you understand that they have a couple of generations of experience in the business and are truly experts, it starts to make sense. They have probably seen and heard it all and therefore may come across as curt at times. I’m not easily offended and I just kept asking what I didn’t know and in the end they were very helpful once that curtain was lifted. Being a beginner I was having a huge problem with accuracy and consistency and finally took a lesson with Lani. In one visit she was able to diagnose my problem and 💯 resolved my issue. I’m much more than happy!

The people who own and operate this facility are so professional, knowledgeable, and kind. I have enjoyed ever interaction I've had in their store. They got me exactly what I needed without pushing extra sales on me. Their range is very nice and they even offered me some free tips that improved my accuracy.

Brand new to compound bow shooting and the crew at Viking has been tremendously helpful. They set up my bow properly and lessons with Lanny have improved every aspect of my shooting. 100/100 will always recommend!

Tried to ask a simple question about repairs on the phone and the man on the other end was a smart mouth making unnecessary remarks the entirety of the 30 second conversation. I donΓÇÖt ever leave reviews but I would recommend against using or speaking to the people at Viking Archery.

Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. Helped me completely set up my new bow even though I am a novice I left, feeling much more confident than when I entered.

We're visiting the area. Drove by twice. Place looked great. Made a U-turn and and went inside to inquire on prices but they were not hospitable. Wanted to take my 2 step sons to try archery for the first time. They said they had to take a class first for safety. I said ok, do you have classes in Spanish. They laughed. The guy made some comments about safety. His comments were for the equipment and not the people. I can teach my sons about safety. I have all my own equipment, just not here. I'm from out of town. BUT they wouldn't rent the equipment or archery range to us. I'm not a foreigner but I sure felt like one. Guess foreigners are not allowed. Glad I am visiting and don't live here.

BOWHUNTERS!! Viking Archery, a well known secret, nestled in the hill country. From beginners to pros Kevin is bursting through the seems with insightful knowledge. His proficiency on recognizing minute basic fundamental errors/corrections is top notch above the rest. Phenomenal In giving instructions which resulted in an extremely tight shot group. Early season is just around the corner and highly encourage you bowhunters to stop by Viking Archery. Their inventory alone 🤯 I was like a kid in a candy store and happier than a fat boy eating cake when I left.

Been looking online at bows for a little over 2 weeks, by the hand of god I was driving by Viking Archery today and made a U-turn to go check them out and what a great choice that was. Kevin was knowledgeable and super nice. He set me up with what I needed, not what he wanted to sell me. He measured me, fit me to a bow, set the pull weight for me and sighted it in for me as I shot in their indoor range. Had I bought a bow online I wouldn't have gotten any of this help. I highly recommend this place for any archery needs and at $5 an hour to use their range, I will definitely be going back.

I never ever leave reviews. I think this is my first review here on google. I called for something very simple. I just wanted to know if they had a product in stock. I was my usual polite self, the guy I was talking to misunderstood what I said, so I restated what I was looking for, and after a few confusing moments I was stunned to realize that he had hung up on me. Seriously?? I could easily order online what I need but I enjoy supporting local businesses. Viking archery does not deserve my business, nor do they want it, I guess. What a shame.

I was hesitant in going to the store for a new string and a few other things after reading some of the negative reviews. However, since they are only a couple miles away, as opposed to going into town, I dropped by with my OLD bow. They were extremely helpfull and a pleasure to deal with. Some parts were no longer available for replacing, but they replaced what they could and did an excellent job. Couldn't have found a more friendly place to visit.

Diamond in the rough. The people of Viking Archery are the best of the best. If you want phony 5 star service you'll be disappointed. If you want honesty, value, and unparalled industry & technical knowledge then stick around. Tim, Lana, Kevin- the knowledge and tecnhique yall bring to the sport are unrivaled in the archery industry. It's absolutely crazy to have yall here in Canyon Lake of all places. Haters: wait 5 or 15 minutes, it's worth it. have more patience, yall already drove out here. The best archery shop by knowledge, technique, equipment, ect.

Kevin was really friendly and patience giving instructions for me and my partner. We enjoyed the whole experience. The price for the time spent in the lane and equipment rental, I do not think can be beated anywhere else! Definitely will become a frequent visitor and return soon. Hidden gem in Canyon Lake :)

Great experience at Viking Archery. I stopped in to have some arrows trimmed and had great customer service. The shop is well equipped with anything youΓÇÖd ever need. Thank you for speedy service with a smile and great conversation! 1/3/23 I stopped in today to pick up half a dozen Easton axis 5 MM arrows. I was greeted upon walking in helped immediately and had exceptional customer service! Thank you for being a local custom archery shop!

So happy we gave this place a try despite the mixed reviews. My husband and 8 year old were looking for something to do on a weekend and they both ended up with bows and really excited to continue practicing. They gave us some great personalized attention and walked out of there confident our bows were in great condition.

Ok, I don't know what these 1⭐️ reviews are all about. Tim & Lannie spent 4 hours outfitting my wife and I with new bows. To say that Tim doesn't know what he's talking about didn't take the time to engage; the man is a multi-specialty National Champ. The problem with people today is the desire for immediate results instead of delayed satisfaction. I will ONLY go here for all archery needs. People react to engagement; and the Whiteford's are no exception. Take the time to travel North for their service, if you're polite and patient, you will get extraordinary service.

Fastest, friendliness service IΓÇÖve experienced. DidnΓÇÖt try to over sell me, in fact I asked three times if HE thought I needed anything else! KW was professional, knowledgeable and kind. Beautiful indoor range. Searching for a new bow or updating your old gear MAKE THE TRIP! You wonΓÇÖt regret it.

Went in to check out the facility, met Kevin. Asked a bunch of questions and got a lot of great information from him. I really appreciate his willingness to talk me through all my questions and explain the ins and outs of Archery. Grabbed some string lube and will be going back to take advantage of their range!

Called to ask a few questions about in stock bows and person was pretty rude. Given the previous comments below likely the owner, who gave snarky answers then just hung up. Was looking to by local, but not worth having the same experience in person. Now going to purchase from somewhere else that has already displayed great customer service.

They are always warm and friendly and willing to go the extra mile to help and answer questions. I live close and have been in 3 times with separate questions and concerns, and they've always done their best to help me, including recommend other companies for anything they can't help me with. My husband came in for Xmas gifts and they were just as helpful to him. Highly recommend.
