I wanted my WCC permit so I just took the class in order to get my certificate. Oscar was the teacher and he was absolutely awesome! He was extremely knowledgeable and very patient. IΓÇÖm very happy with my experience at Virlee Gunworks!

Brand new gun owner at 54 years old. Walked in very unsure. Met Oscar thus guys it absolutely the top of top shelf. Always made me feel comfortable. I have now taken pistol 1and ccw class both taught by Oscar. No matter the level you walk in at he never makes you uncomfortable. Always there to help. I will always be thankful that I got a guy who know his career so well. Now I'm confident going forward I will be a responsible gun owner and Oscar will be there if I ever need help. 5 STARS.....not enough.

Excellent instruction. Our trainer, Oscar, is extremely knowledgeable, helpful, & friendly. Our training sessions with Oscar have been an excellent learning opportunity. Shooting skills have improved and confidence with our equipment is very much improved. The shooting range is well equipped and is extremely useful in training sessions. I took an entry level pistol training course led by Oscar. I wish I had taken it much sooner and highly recommend it to anyone thinking of buying a handgun as well as anyone who has never taken a formal training course. Oscar is well qualified to instruct as he is a former Marine and as well as a professional instructor. He begins with safety and gun handling. Then progresses through stance, aiming, loading and range protocols. Then to the range to practice and receive individual coaching through live fire drills of about 50 rounds. Then a brief session where you will learn how to disassemble and clean your particular firearm. No previous experience necessary. I believe guns can be rented at an additional cost.

Defensive Rifle 1/2 - Of all of the firearms training I've done over the years/decades, both in the military and as a civilian, I think this was the best set up, best executed. I LOVE how this class was run. Oscar was the lead instructor, and he was amazing, but also each student had their own individual instructor to ensure complete comprehension of the concepts and tasks. And to make immediate corrections as needed, as to not develop incorrect habits. This was GOLD! There was a strong emphasis on safety, which I really appreciated. And nothing was rushed. Equally appreciated. Each technique, concept and task was thoroughly explained and understood before we moved on. To lay a foundation, and build on the next one. Also when another of the instructors had input to give the class as a whole about a concept or task, they were able to do so. I really loved the smaller class size and individualized attention. Every instructor was very knowledgable, professional, and personable. Shout out to Eric, Kyle, Jeremy, Tim & Justin. We had a blast! If you own this platform, it's your responsibility to get trained on it. And novice or experienced, no matter what you know, or how much you think you know - with anything, you will always learn something from a new instructor. This class was well worth every penny. Outstanding training, but also MAJOR fun! We are looking forward to our next one - Defensive Rifle 3! Lastly, HUGE shoutout to Ally for getting us all squared away with our sign ups, AND some much needed prep for our weapons! Kim R.

We had a great experience in the Intro to AR course with Oscar. He was extremely knowledgeable with the rifle and did an amazing job explaining the basics of the rifle to us all and making it safe for everyone. He was very easy to talk to and very easy to ask him questions. I would highly recommend Virlee for any course work or range time and would highly recommend taking a course with Oscar for sure!

We had an excellent experience at Virlee, from the moment we arrived staff were helpful, courteous and kept safety as the top priority. Oscar is a really excellent guide and experienced gun handler. He was charming and attentive throughout and answered any questions we had, giving us tailored instruction and advice. The centre is well equipped and managed - all five of our group had an excellent time and can recommend Virlee Gunworks.

I took a beginning rifle class there yesterday. My instructor was clear, concise, practical, supporting and a skilled tactical combat vet. He was very patient and did not move on to the next skill until he was satisfied that I have understood all the sub components of a given skill. He made the class fun and fast. I highly recommend this class to anyone with a rifle who wishes to learn defensive skills. The range is the state of the art range with plenty of room for instruction. This was the most fun I had taking a tactical class.

Our group showed up not understanding that we would be shooting real guns at virtual targets (thought it was virtual shooting). Some members of our group had never fired a handgun and were quite reluctant. Oscar was amazing teaching our entire group how to properly handle, load, aim and fire a handgun. Even the most reluctant members of our group felt comfortable enough to take part in shooting once Oscar had completed our training. They have an excellent array of firearms to choose from and the virtual target system is soooo much better than simply shooting at static paper targets. Two thumbs up for this place and for Oscar!

Super nette Leute, es wird alles erklärt und eingehend erläutert. Als Besucher aus Deutschland haben wir sogar einen kleinen kostenlosen Ersteindruck bekommen. Durften sogar mit Preston ein Runde schießen. Am Tag danach kamen wir wieder und haben mit Ally einen tollen Vormittag verbracht. Ich habe viele Handfeuerwaffen und Langwaffen geschossen, alles war im Paket beinhaltet. Die Munition kauft man separat, was aber völlig normal und preiswert ist. Alles in allem war es eine tolle und faszinierende Erfahrung! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!! Danke an das ganze Team!

Solid group of men that know the course that's being taught. Safety is always top priority with them all and watching out for others that are shooting. Second time taking the class and there is always a 1:1 shooter and instructor ratio. Will definitely be taking more classes from Virlee. Oscar and the team are rock solid. If you're a novice, please take an entry course. The description is level 1 and 2, but it's definitely more advanced. This is not a class to learn how to use an AR for beginners. This is a class to teach you how to use your weapon with a purpose and intent.

If youΓÇÖve never held a gun before, congratulations youΓÇÖve found the right place. Not only will they help you find the right firearm for your need, they have fantastic trainers who will make sure you are safe and effective. If you canΓÇÖt remember a time before you knew your way around a firearm, congratulations youΓÇÖve found your tribe. The range is nice facility. All the lanes use a video system. The paper hangs at about seven yards, but you can change the size of the projection to simulate longer distances. They also have a solid selection of rentals to try out. VirleeΓÇÖs is a rare find these days. ItΓÇÖs a business that puts professionalism over everything else. I have family members on the far side of both sides of the political debate in this county, liberals and conservatives alike have been treated professionally and with courtesy. I donΓÇÖt really have anything to report on the negative side. Stop in. I think youΓÇÖll agree.

As two 60+ year old women, we were very happy with the Pistol 1 training course with Ally as the instructor. We took the Ladies Only course - which mad the whole experience very comfortable. Our fear and anxiety quickly faded as the course progressed, and we were given many valuable lessons and suggestions for future practice at the range. Thank you! So happy to support a local business doing good work!

I had a great experience purchasing my 365SAS from Virlee in Sturgeon Bay. They had a great collection of P365s and I was able to select the one I wanted. The whole process was fast and friendly. I spend time to get acquainted with the products in their store while waiting for the paperwork.
