Fine range... very affordable and a good facility. As others have mentioned, the gentleman I met at the front was not the kindest. RSO was a volunteer and great!

Range itself is a pretty decent facility, the ΓÇ£gate guardΓÇ¥ on the other hand is entirely different. Old Dude at the front office is basically a clown with an ego issue like some others have stated on here. Ran out of his little office near the entrance as I was leaving to scream me for speeding; when the rate I was moving in my car wasnΓÇÖt even registering on my speedometer. GuyΓÇÖs a total joke

My brother and I sited in our muzzleloaders and rifles on October 8, 2024. From checking in at the front office to our interactions with the range instructors, everyone was professional and courteous. We had a great experience. 👍

Went there for the first time today and the rifle range is great if you want to sight in rifles or just plink. They have 15, 50, and 100 yard stands. Cold ranges were called about every half hour and the RSOs were very nice and chill. The reason for the 2 stars is mainly the office and the attendant. If you have NFA items they make copies of your tax stamps and "hold those copies for a year in a vault then shred them". They also do not want SBRs or AR pistols shot there. The attendant made it abundantly clear they aren't welcome (but it seemed the RSOs didn't care as much). The office attendant is also not very people friendly (to say the least).

Great range, terrible staff. Range instructors treated me with zero respect and as if I was a child. TWRA Officer at the front desk was also extremely rude and had an ego problem. Went by the office to checkout and he called me ΓÇ£boyΓÇ¥ and accused me of speeding on the road..

I've come here a couple times and even got my conceal carry certificate done here and let me tell you it's a perfect little range for shooting. The rangers are good and volunteers do what they do because they love it and they take safety very seriously which Is how it should be when dealing with firearms. It's 8$ cash which does suck that it's cash only but for what you get you cannot beat the price and you get to enjoy the outdoors a little bit.

Terrible front desk service. Refused to let us shoot because we come in the wrong side of the entrance. We went back out tried to come in the right way and apologize and he still refused to let us shoot. Over a simple mistake that we tried to makeup.

I loved this place at first, the range is nice. After many many visits my opinions has slowly changed. The older feller at the desk is always upset and has a rude tone. Completely sour attitude treats all the visitors with no respect. I would recommend the range but not the awful staff.

I just went there today for the first time ever, and had a great time. Don't come here if you're too cool for school. I was glad to see they are serious about safety. The ungrateful reviews are completely unwarranted. You SHOULD be treated sternly to remind you where you are. The staff are volunteering their time to share a hobby/sport and keeping guests safe, so the privilege is YOURS.

I wish i can give negative stars just based on customer service, what a joke this place is , wont allow you to shoot AR pistols? Lol like thats just insane. Gun discrimination , lack of people skills gives this place a big thumbs down Close this place down and turn it into a bmx race track.

100% coming back. I was a little worried given I'm black in a predominantly white area but the guys did great. Pure professionalism and I'll be bringing lots of people with me. Do bring 2 quarters for the ear mufflers.

Tried taking my kid to the rifle range to get him ready for hunting season. Legally of age to hunt in TN. I was told they donΓÇÖt allow kids under 16 at the range. So much for introducing your kids to hunting and shooting. Nothing like your first shot out of a gun being in the stand the day of the hunt for those of us without access to land. Way to teach good hunting ethics and cultivate a desire to a shoot - from a ΓÇ£publicΓÇ¥ range.

IΓÇÖve been coming here on and off for about 20 years. This is a firing range and the #1 rule is safety. If you donΓÇÖt follow basic, easy to understand instructions so that everyone at the range is safe, yeah you may get a talking to. Being a Veteran and a gun owner my entire life, I know how to be responsible with a firearm and follow the warning signs as well. This range is great for practicing and for sighting in your rifle scope. The staff has always been nice to me, but than again IΓÇÖm nice to them. IΓÇÖve never experienced any of the staff to be rude to anyone, not just me. I consider the fact that it is an outdoor range as a little bonus.

Dwight, the office guy is very rude, condescending, dismissive, and totally drunk on his tiny little seat of power. I went Saturday to sight in my deer rifle, and Dwight continually talked over me, and threatened to not let me shoot when i asked him to calm down his attitude. As a public servant servicing the Knoxville community, Dwights demeanor shows his utter lack of care and respect for the shooting community.

I’m going to be honest with this review and what I have seen in person at the range…. Purchasing a 2hr pass for me and my wife was easy and straightforward, then after driving down to the range and getting my guns and ammo out and ready to carry to the bench-rest there are signs to read while walking up to the range about having safety glasses/ear protection on beyond those points. The safety officers that were there was very nice and to the point. Now I’ve read a lot of the bad reviews about this place and it did make me nervous at first but after what I witnessed today with other people… they were not listening and following the rules which in return we all know what’s to be expected of the range officer next. They are there to protect everyone. I have a great experience and so did my wife. We will definitely be back again!!

This range is cash only, which isnΓÇÖt listed on the website at all. Hours are weird but IΓÇÖm literally 2 minutes away so itΓÇÖs not massive issue for me. TWRA dude at the first building really likes to play cop saying my wife needs to change her license (still an NC resident) and acts like he knows the current laws regarding AR pistols. DonΓÇÖt take any NFA item here including SBRΓÇÖs if you donΓÇÖt want to be badgered about it. The only reason I come here at all (rarely) is to zero an optic when I donΓÇÖt want to go to Windrock or Norris since itΓÇÖs just down the road. Oh yeah, everyone treats younger gun owners like children as well.

The man behind the counter is extremely unpleasant. He talks down to you no matter what. Seriously would go anywhere but this place. Just an all around terrible experience. Avoid at all costs.

Me and a friend went to site in a couple of rifles today 5/28/22 and arrived to locked gates with signs saying closed for the holiday. Pulled up the website and it said up open now till 6pm this was at 12:40 pm. You could here shots coming from the range so someone was there. All I can say is if there to lazy to update their hours or answer the phone which I tried calling multiple times the to days prior to showing up then find another job. I won't be back im going to Norris and getting a one year pass for 50$ July 1st and they have a 300yard range.

This range only accepts cash. There is no atm or any information on their site mentioning this. Their phone number leads to a random strangers cell phone so there is no way to contact them. The gorilla stationed behind the counter had the manners of an even lesser animal. The only thing worse than my experience here was the odor emitting from the neanderthal running the front desk.

Just reading the reviews seems like the workers here have some ego issues instead of actually helping the general public.. sorry some are not born and raised to know everything about guns... instead of acting like a perfect snoody gun owner how about helping teach others how you was once taught or let someone join who is willing to do the job correctly
