Q: I have two air rifles one is a 22cal the other is .177. Can i bring them in so i can dial in the scopes. Never been on the property before.
A: Yes, we allow air rifles. Our public rifle range has targets at 50 yards that may work for you.

Q: Do you allow steel-cased ammunition?
A: Yes, we allow steel-cased ammunition, but not steel-jacketed bullets. The cartridge case is not a risk, but the steel-cased bullet has an increased risk of penetration and ricochet.

Q: Does the range provide targets? If not Is there structure to hang paper targets?
A: Yes, we have target frames, and targets that fit them. We also have eye and ear protection if you need those. All firing is from the bench at either 50 or 100 yards.

Q: Do you allow .50 BMG or know of somewhere that does?
A: We can't allow .50 BMG, it is beyond the design limits of our ranges.

Q: Hey there ! I used to practice with my compound bow many years ago at your range and yes it was fantastic setup , loved the walk through 🙂, I recently got a crossbow and was wondering if you allow that to be used on your targets ? Thankyou again 🙂
A: Dermot, we don't allow crossbows yet. But since there is increasing interest in them, we are testing out targets and a range for crossbow use. We hope to come to a decision on this sometime soon.

2 seconds between shots is absolutely ridiculous. I go shooting to train. There is no point in shooting this slowly aside from zeroing an optic. Zero purpose going here whatsoever.

You can only shoot your rifle sitting on a bench. Cease fire every 30 minutes for hanging/retrieving your target really slows down the pace. Fairly strict about double taps, etc. here. Usually very intrusive and over-the-top RSOs, but we should learn to laugh it off and build trust. It would certainly not hurt if the older staff and shorter staff knew how to speak more politely to paying customers. Maybe that's expecting too much. Learning without getting talked down to would certainly be nice. They have completely separate pistol/rifle ranges so no handguns at the rifle range and vice versa. Rifle range 50, 100, 200 (members only) yards. Pistol range 7, 15,30 yards. You canΓÇÖt argue with the safety, fresh air, and beautiful grounds. I have had a good experience with the staff here for the most part. Especially when I bring friends. Numbers do help here. I like coming here to zero my optics, function check new builds/mods, or get together with a new shooter friend for a slow day. However, I still need to find a training spot for learning anything other than shooting from a bench at stationary objects at very slow rates. Because of this, a membership is out of the question for me. I really wish they had a combo range or at least a facility for shooting rifles from various positions.
