A: Alright thanks

Q: Is steel case rifle ammo allowed?

A: Metal cased ammo is allowed. Ammo with a metal core is not allowed. Much surplus Eastern Block countries have a metal core in the center of the bullet. Not all. Cut one in half and you will know for sure. This information is subject to change and these were the rules that were enforced the last time I was there. Steel/metal core ammo is more prone to ricochet out of the bounds of the range and possibly cause injury or property damage,

Q: Do I need to make a reservation or just show up and is it just $20for the day?

A: No reservation needed, they have a brief insurance form as I recall. Prices vary depending on age and which range you shoot. They're all under 20 per person (I think). There's no time limit as far as I know, I usually shoot for about an hour or two.

Q: I was going to take my friends to the range, but I'm not sure if they can all shoot since they aren't over 21 years of age. Will that make a difference at Wesmar?

Not a bad shooting range. The rules are there to protect you obviously and honestly, we all do need safety in this hobby. No one needs to die due to a mistake or accident. However, there is the odd thing with the 5 round maximum for rifles obviously. I'm guessing this range was originally designed for bolt action rifles or lever action rifles that typically had lower ammo capacities. No real complaints on my side BESIDES... They need to phrase their website a bit better. I looked on there and it said "When coming to the range, you are allowed to bring your gun open or concealed on your person" but it mentions "In the office, no guns are allowed" (you must check into the office before being able to shoot. I didn't read that part on the website, hence why there was confusion on my part) and can be a bit confusing since it mentions two different things and upon a glance before coming up, you might be confused like I was and accidently get chewed out by the RSO/manager without intending to cause trouble. Still meets a 4 star standard, but not a 5 star.

As a first time shooter, I couldn't have asked for a better experience: clear rules and expectations, highly trained range masters, safety conscious, and a great learning environment. Bring cash for payment.

Every time I go to Wesmar. I have a great time. I love that so many veterans work at Wesmar. All the guys are very friendly, helpful, and are always respectful even when they have to call someone out on something. I just wish there was longer ranges for both rifle and pistol, would so practice for further distances all in 1 place. But I still love it ar Wesmar. It's the only range I go too.

First time at Wesmar. Pretty decent experience. RSO's are friendly and take their job serious, as they should. The RSO at the rifle was helpful with helping me sight my red dot. This Will definitely be my go to outdoor range.

A safe, well-run range with professional, friendly staff. My comments are based only on the pistol range, but expect the same standards at the others as well. All of this at a reasonable price. I've never had a bad experience here, even on crowded weekends. Highly recommend.

Fantastic outdoor range with plenty of options. Drive in is a long gravel road that is essentially one lane, trust it, youΓÇÖll get there! And itΓÇÖs easy to pull off if someone comes the other direction. Look for the small sign next to the drive to turn in.

This was an incredible experience. I usually go to local friends' properties to shoot moderate distance and usually to stress test a new gun or one that had some work done. These boys helped me sight in a new scope for no additional charge and offered a very bare-bones, basic, and squared away range experience. There is no rapid fire, dragon's breathe, ect shenanigans but this is the place if you need to zero in a new firearm or firearm accessory. They will continue getting my business so long as I am buying new guns and sights.

I recently bought a shotgun for home defense. Never shot a gun in my life. Decided to try this place, the man at check in was nice and helpful. It cost $16 for a lane and a 2ΓÇÖx4ΓÇÖ target. I had Bradley help me with basic operations, stance and firing. This was a great experience and WILL return.

My son and I visited this gun range to get a feel of what to expect. This shooting range is tucked away down a quaint dirt road. Upon arrival, safety was the first rule and they explained the rules and how there is zero tolerance to not following the rules. The prices seem very reasonable and the hospitality of the office staff was remarkable. Based on our experience, we will definitely be back after we purchase out handgun.

I have surveyed many ranges, but this one is very interesting. They do not allow DRACO or AR-PISTOLS in an outside range shooting dirt, reason for not allowing them "no accuracy with those weapons" a beginner has no accuracy, but it is what it is, their property and my money.
