This range has something for everyone with a rifle area and a pistol area. You can set up targets on plywood at various distances; some people also use cans and bottles. There are covered areas to shoot from and lots of parking. Come here for a great time!

Very nice public range. Free. Plenty of places to put your targets, with one side of the range having shorter lanes best suited for handguns or shotguns. Rifle lanes have sheltered benches with sound absorbing material under the roofs which really helps to reduce sound amplification. I've been here maybe a dozen times and never seen it crowded. Couple of other shooters at most, and nobody acting irresponsibly. Not littered with broken glass and shot-up plastic trash like so many unsupervised public ranges sometimes are.

Had a great time only had a few people show up while I was their everyone acted in a safe and adult manner. Wish the guys on the medium range spot told us they were going down range.... Regardless of them being on the other side of a burm.. Also if you plan on doing CC shooting they don't have any target stands closer then 50 yards so may want to bring a stand. but all in all will deffently go agin.

I didn't know what to expect reading the earlier reviews. I gotta say, this range is pretty nice! A handful of lanes with one side for longer distances for rifles, and the other could be used for handguns and rifles I suppose. It has some cover, and a great view! Plenty of targets already out to shoot at if you don't want to bring your own. If you're camping nearby at Rifle Gap, check this place out!

Great State Range with maybe a dozen lanes. Most lanes have cover. The day we visited there was no one else there. There are even trash cans and the range was very clean.
