Q: Do you need to pay anything? O is it walk in n play?
A: No up-front payment is needed to enter. You will however, need a current game license or a range permit both of which can be purchased at a local sporting goods store.

Q: It says open 24 hours mon-fry but not open Saturday and Sunday. Is that up to date??

A: PA State shooting ranges require a hunting license or range license (permit) to use. You can get a license at all kinds of retailers such as Walmart or even online. Other than that there are no additional fees.

- Amanda Day Sutnavage (10 months ago)
Q: 1. How busy this place get on weekends? Looks like the distance is too far for pistol practice. 2. Is it practical for pistols?
A: It can get busy (like all ranges, I suppose), but especially more so as deer season approaches. I've gone in fall and had to wait for a table to open up. While you can shoot pistol here, it's tough, because the 50 yd line is the closest you can get to your target.
- Jason Brown (a year ago)
Q: Are you allowed to shoot pistols here?
A: Yes. Pistols, shotguns, rifles (both rimfire and centerfire) are allowed here.
- Jason Brown (2 years ago)
Q: Can i shoot my crossbow here
A: No, sorry. No archery (either crossbow, compound, or recurve) is allowed

Range was clean & seemingly well cared for. There are only 2 distances: a 50 & 100yard. There are 5 or 6 positions at 50 & 10 or 12 at 100 yards. The benches are comfortable and decent for shooting off the. The cover / roof is good to keep the sun / rain off you. There are rubberized backings to staple your targets to. It's quite a ways up Suscon Rd, but it's only a stone throw off the actual road, so you can't miss it. Plenty of parking. Overall, a nice range Please make sure YOU help keep it that way and pick up your trash & brass!

The one star is for the game commission. The range is fine but is RIFLE ONLY! But you wouldnΓÇÖt know this by the signs. It has the regular rules posted and a sign underneath ΓÇ£Rifle Range.ΓÇ¥ Nothing saying ΓÇ£no pistols allowed.ΓÇ¥ I was getting ready to shoot a pistol and another shooter politely informed me that it was rifle only and he witnessed a guy get fined by a warden for shooting a pistol. PAGC at its finest. So glad I donΓÇÖt hunt any more.

Been here a few times but my most recent visit I stopped in 12/31 and had the whole range to myself. Took 1 shot, realized that I forgot ear protection, as I walked back to my car the warden pulled in. Super nice guy, we chatted for a little, he cleaned up some things that others left on the range that shouldn't have been there, checked my permit and told me to have fun. If you follow the rules you will have a great time here.

Nice range to go sight in your rifle or just fire a few rounds. The range is in pretty good shape they just need to do some minor maintenance on some of the tables. They area is always clean and safe.

Basic shooting range with distances from 50 yards and 100 yards. Went here to sight in a hunting rifle and it did the job.
