Questions & Answers

Q: If I have my license, can I open carry in Wilshire guns?

A: As someone who visits there a lot, I have had no issues with open carry. As long as you come in with the weapon holstered, and it remains so until you enter a range, there is generally not any problem.

- Jeff Nichols (7 years ago)

A: I wear mine in. Go to the range. Then wear it out. Never been asked.

- Timothy Phelps (4 years ago)

A: Yes, you can open carry in a gun store. And yes you can open carry in a gun store AND use their facilities.

- Nik Passmark (5 years ago)

A: Not if you plan on shooting on the range with it. In other words they prefer no, because you would have to unholster your weapon to be checked. That's why they want them in the case.

- Randy Reynolds (7 years ago)

A: Been there well over a dozen times, with pistols and rifles. Never had any problems, the staff Is great. The burgers are excellent, and the drinks are cold. Open carry has never been an issue.

- Charles Burton (3 years ago)

Q: Do you have to bring your own firearm and targets

A: No. You can rent guns and buy targets

- Big Tex (3 years ago)

A: Yes

- Jason Kloeppel (3 years ago)

Q: My daughter wants to try archery, do you offer rentals for the archery

A: No archery. Guns only.

- T Mcfarland (6 years ago)

A: You should probably verify this by calling them, but I believe they got rid of the archery range a long time ago.

- Brenda Leonard (6 years ago)

A: They do not, wilshire is just a shooting rsnge for firearms.

- Ryan Sperry (6 years ago)

Q: Do you allow foreigners at all? Im visiting the area in August, and i'd love to have a lesson.

A: They will not discriminate against anybody. You won't have any problems

- Tracy Laging (a year ago)

Q: Is there a layway option

A: We currently do not offer layaway.

- Wilshire Gun (4 years ago)

Q: WhatΓÇÖs the firing policy? Can you shoot fast? Is full auto allowed?

A: Yes, they rent full auto and shoot it out on the lanes so they should let you shoot your own. Hmu when u go, I wanna get in on that. Lol

- Derek Swingle (5 years ago)

Q: Never been to a gun range but want to go. Are they first time friendly and do I need to take a course?

A: Incredibly first time friendly. No, just let the RSOs know that itΓÇÖs your first time!

- Matthew Lanig (5 years ago)

Q: Is an AR pistol ok to bring. Pistol brace, no sbr paperwork.

A: Yes, you can shoot AR pistols here.

- Matthew Lanig (5 years ago)

Q: what is the lane rental fee?

A: 25 & 35 yard lanes ΓÇô $15/hour 2nd ΓÇô 3rd person ΓÇô $8/hour 101 yard lanes ΓÇô $28/hour 2nd ΓÇô 3rd person ΓÇô $15/hour

- Khang Truong (7 years ago)

Q: Do u have to have a reservation

A: No. But you can avoid waiting by going week days and evenings. If the weather is funky on the weekends, you can expect a crowd. If you don't mind waiting, the restaurant is very good !!

- Jeff Nichols (7 years ago)

A: Pretty much hit that one on the head. No reservations but if by chance there is a wait the restaurant is aweaome

- Randy Reynolds (7 years ago)

A: No you don't have to have a reservation

- Krystyle (7 years ago)

A: Nope, reservations arnt required.

- Debra Emerich (7 years ago)

A: Not needed but if you go during the week days you'll have problems.

Took the hand gunner 1 class today. Aaron was a great teacher! I feel a lot more comfortable with my gun after this first class. Look forward to practicing what I was taught and come back for the next class! Thanks for sharing your knowledge Aaron!!

Brought a 1911 in to the gunsmith for bluing back in November, Ryan told me to call back in 2 months. I called in January, their line goes to a machine telling you not to leave a message. I called the front desk, they offered to transfer me but couldn't guarantee they'd answer the phone. Came in today to check on my 1911 only to discover they hadn't done a thing to it. This place sucks.

I was told there wouldn't be many people on valentine's day, people prefer to have dinner meals instead. Well, I get to the place around 730pm as I said I would be arriving after 6pm and it's booked up... with this parking lot. Sure. I don't believe you. "Sunday would be better". We're gonna try again later, but I'm pretty disappointed with the lack of awareness and the assertion that I don't need to make a reservation when I called on Wednesday.

I took the Fundamentals of defensive Carbine and it was great class for someone who had a little experience shooting an AR-15. I learned a lot and feel better handling mine now. Thank you Aaron!

Best range in town

The 1 star reviews on here are hilarious and should hold no weight. The range is nice and clean. Fairly large amount of arms for sale that yes, will be more expensive than buying straight from the manufacturer. If that blows your mind, let me introduce you to car dealerships. “The gunsmiffs didn’t treat me like a king” well then fix it yourself? “The restaurant sucked” homie, it’s a gun range 😂 I have been going here for about 7 years just to zero new optics and have never had a problem with wilshire. I’m also not a POG or civ that wants everything handed over everything on a silver platter.

IΓÇÖve shot at this range a few times. The guys on the sales side have always seemed kind and courteous, the range staff, however, are actually terrible at human interaction. ItΓÇÖs wild to me that this establishment has hired people that are so inept at just being decent. Not kind or friendly, just decent. These people are absolute trash to deal with. IΓÇÖve been treated better by abused dogs than I have been by these guys. If it wasnΓÇÖt so close to my place of work I would never go back. Please for the love of God, do better.

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, the range prices are very reasonable, and being able to shoot indoors with a rifle up to 100 yards is just awesome.

They have a good selection but I dealt with the range workers. My buddy and I were treated like scum, workers here an always vulgar and seem entitled to there occupation. CanΓÇÖt get directions to the 101 yard range, ended up in the 35 yard range due to one of the workers pointing in the wrong direction thinking it was funny. At last, if your firearm isnΓÇÖt all the working properly I wouldnΓÇÖt ask the crew members for help due to their vulgar opinions and statements. IΓÇÖll have better luck with watching YouTube. Wide variety store, just ethically poor workers.

Two stars only because they have a 100 yard range. ThatΓÇÖs it. The range desk staff are absolutely the worst.

I was taking my mother there in order to see what kind of firearm works best for her. The gentleman at the desk that set us up at the range was very pleasant and did a good job. Things kind of went sideways when my front sight on my pistol became loose. I field stripped my handgun down to the slide and went searching for a screwdriver to tighten it. The gentleman at the desk referred me to the gun smith. I went into the gunsmith shop and asked if they had that screwdriver I could use, and another gentleman took the slide back to the back and came back out a couple minutes later with it in hand fixed. I told him thank you and thinking it would be a couple dollars for turning a screw twice, asked him if I owed him anything. He replied with 20 bucks. 20 bucks? For literally turning a screw twice? For work I actually didnΓÇÖt want him to do? I just wanted to see if I could borrow a screwdriver. I guess he did a ok job at turning that screw twice, so I canΓÇÖt be totally upset, but I was there to look at and give my mother advice on her next purchase. I wonder if they could have made more money charging me that 20 bucks or the money they would have made for the firearm, accessories, range time, and ammo that we were about to purchase. Food for thought. You can nickel and dime your customers. But at the end of the day, you can keep customers by being fair to them. Unfortunately, you lost a high paying customer today.

IΓÇÖve always wanted to learn how to properly handle a firearm and after a bit of research I found Wilshire Gun. The ladies intro class was well worth the money. Aaron is an amazing trainer. Our group was very small, so it made for a more 1:1 experience. IΓÇÖd never shot a firearm before, but I felt confident going on the range after AaronΓÇÖs instruction and preparation. Aaron allowed us to experiment with shooting a variety of firearms to find our personal best fit before we worked on more technical aspects like aim/speed. The majority of the training was spent on the range, getting hands-on experience and live feedback which was so helpful. Aaron picked up on every thing IΓÇÖd been concerned about regarding my stance and aim and his advice led to immediate improvement each time. I didnΓÇÖt expect to do as well as I did my first go-round; and I can confidently say that AaronΓÇÖs guidance was a large part of my success. I left this training feeling excited to get back to the range and planning to explore more of the trainings at Wilshire Gun! The facility itself is nice and range fees are very affordable, so IΓÇÖll be back to practice. (And to try out the cafe!)

If I could give it no stars I would but the waitress was great…. First of all the the owner/cook had the worst customer service ever…. The funny part is she believes that she was right even tho her employee was on our side. So my husband ordered a burger the menu didn’t say it came with any dressing at all. The waitress never asked if her wanted mayo, mustard or anything. My husband told her when she came back over to bring plastics ware no mayo.So when she brought us the burger it had a mayo sauce and said that the cook said it was too late to change it. Okay we asked for another bun and was still was refused. So we sent the burger back the waitress again apologized. Now I’m waiting for my food now the cook brings it over to use and she had a stank attitude said she doesn’t know us and don’t know how we take our sandwich and we should have said something sooner and we would still have to pay for a burger that mind you we sent back. There were words exchanged but there was never a common ground met. We just realized that clearly there was no point and getting it through her head that the menu does not have the dressing for that burger on it. The other one’s does but not that one. So we came to the agreement that she needed her money that’s why she came at us so aggressive. We paid our bill mind you she was still talking in the background while the waitress kept apologizing and even offered to pay for the meal. I don’t mind supporting our people but at times they make it hard. Won’t be back and that sucks because I love that gun range just will have to eat before or after. I don’t even want to give them 2.00 for a drink.

The gunsmith department is so horrible and unreliable. I bought a silencer well over a year ago from this establishment. I completed all the requested information while there. Months later, I began receiving emails about the paperwork not being completed. I logged in online and completed it. I called and called and nobody ever answered the phone. I went in a few times but the gunsmith department has very short hours during the day and work prevented me from being able to verify if the information was completed. After a total of 9 months passed, I managed to catch the gunsmith and found out the paperwork was still not finished. After being promised that the tax stamp is moving along in a matter of days, 4 months passed before the tax stamp finally was approved. By this time I had moved to Kansas with my family. Again I call and I call and they fail to answer. So I take a whole day to drive 3 hours just to be told it's now a felony for him to transfer my silencer. He then began to cancel my tax stamp and put it on me to find a new dealer in Kansas to mail it to, and start the tax stamp process all over again. Furious and at a loss of patience I asked for a refund. To which they require a 30% restocking fee for. That comes out to about 400 dollars for them to provide 0 service to me for. This place is a scam. Fouled bore gun range is far cheaper and better and h&h is far more professional. Should've gone there for this.

Fantastic gun range! I always have a blast when I come here (pun definitely intended!). The first time I came here was with a former police officer. This range was his recommendation, and itΓÇÖs easy to see why! Feel free to bring your own guns, or you can rent one! Another time I was here they had a .357 Magnum revolver available for rent that I just couldnΓÇÖt say no to! They also have an in-house cafe if shooting makes you hungry. They also have some great events and trainings periodically to either hone your shooting, have some extra fun, or both!

Edit after 4 thorough visits to the range here. I think I can give an honest one. Staff are nice enough. Especially on the retail side. Some of the guys seem to be completely uninterested in any banter. Fair enough. A contract is required for their monthly membership with a very high cancellation fee. Now that I know this, thereΓÇÖs no way. ThatΓÇÖs just preying on people, in my opinion. Today wasnΓÇÖt near as hot as it had been so why not go to the range for even more cool shooting? Nope 35 yard range was hotter than the temp was outside. Waste of money when I could have stayed at the home range and been more comfortable.

We are currently touring America on Route 66 and while stopped in Okla city we thought we should partake in America's 2nd amendment right. For complete beginners from the UK the Wiltshire Gun's staff were friendly, patient and educated us on the safest way to use guns especially Jack who helped on numerous occasions. Highly recommend for any one stopping by in Okla city !
