Winamac Fish & Wildlife Area Shooting Range

Q: I want to know why somebody has asked to leave the 25-yard range when there's zeroing a Centerfire 22 caliber rifle I also want to know why your office is closed 5 to 10 minutes early so someone could get answers to this question
A: The 25y range is for rimfire & pistol use. If you *ask* they'll allow a few (3-5) centerfire rounds to get on paper. Then you should move to 50y to continue firing.

Great range, usually not crowded. Jasper Pulaski is being redone, so this range is really busy for the last few weeks. So be prepared to wait...normally we walk right in and get a spot...clean and kept up. Great benches.

Clean facility with friendly people. Have always had a great experience while using the ranges. Unlike other ranges nearby, each station has a roof above you to keep you out of the sun or rain. They have 25 yard, 50 yard, 100 yard and 200 yard ranges. There is always sturdy plywood to affix your targets to but you will need to provide your own paper targets along with a staple gun to fasten them.

You never know when anything is going to be open they never operate at posted times. It's like winning the lottery if you go to the shooting range and it is open
