Q: Do they charge to go in there and shoot and do they sell targets,earplugs or safety glasses or you have to take your own ..

A: Yup. It's an open range. You can use whatever you like

Q: Never been to this range so my questions are, is standing while shooting allowed? And my other is any walking shooting also allowed?
A: Standing and shooting is fine, also theres table shooting stands. But you must bring your own target stand and target as theres just a dirt mound down range. As for walking and shooting i have no idea.

Q: Does this range allow tannerite exploding targets?
A: As far as i know yes, i have gone out there and shot some just dont purposely blow up the rail road ties

Q: Hours of operation what are their times
A: Sunrise to sunset 7 days a week.

A: Somebody put that they're closed on Saturday & Sunday but this is not true, (just called to verify) as there indeed open year round 7 days a week sunrise to sunset.

Wood county gun range is awesome well layed out. The mosquitoes and wood ticks are terrible. Wear layers, long sleeves, pants, socks and more bug spray than you think you will ever need

Nice place I would agree with other reviews it's filthy , it's not that difficult to pick up your trash,, plenty of garbage barrels on site use them for goodness sake

Great place to shoot. The place is covered in trash sometimes when it's windy, If the bins tip over.

Decent range for handguns and rifles. Bring your own targets and be responsible. Police your brass and trash. No on-site supervision. Can get a little weird. Last year a guy was using high explosives. Bring your bug spray. Mosquitoes can get pretty bad.
