Glad I found woodhaven rifle and pistol range. Ran in last minute to grab some ammo. They did have everything I needed no problem. Asked Mike to do some price comparison on a HK match he was $12 dollars more but they did all the paperwork and filing, which to me is a big deal. Then I purchased a savage rifle actually was cheaper then the Long Island shop. Don mounted my opticas on both the hk and savage. Nice clean job and showed me how to adjust both. I did became a member at the range, which is getting a major face lift. I also signed up for there CCW class. The best part of being a member they HELP WITH BOTH PISTOL AND RIFLE RENEWAL PAPERWORK. Priceless. Very honest and helpful 2 great guys very knowledgeable I believe they are brothers? If so pretty amazing they work well together. Great place shop local. Be safe

This is my first time ever making a review that how pissed off I was. I called about picking up a box of ammo, and if they had some in stock because I live far away. I gave them my name and told them IΓÇÖll be there in 45 minutes. When I got there they wouldnΓÇÖt sell it to me because I wasnΓÇÖt purchasing a gun with the ammo even though I already own one (LEO). Completely wasted my time. Really wish I can give it 0 stars. There slogan online is ΓÇ£Serving all your shooting needs since 1973ΓÇ¥ If you have a strong desire to know what 1973 feels like just go here. This place is beyond outdated.

Woodhaven Rifle and Pistol Range is one of my favorite places. The owners and staff are honest, friendly and knowledgeable. The members are excellent people who compete and help each other during competitions. All are welcomed.

This is place is a gem, the brothers are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. No question to stupid, willing to go the extra time with anyone that pops into the shop/range. I have purchased a few firearms and was never disappointed with their guidance. Keep it up fellas. I love it that you are here for many of us.

Don and Mike are amazing owners of this fantastic pistol range and firearms dealer. The regulars are also very nice and treat you with respect and courtesy. Even though the range itself is a bit out-dated, everything you need to have a pleasant shooting experience can be offered here. Range and amenities are offered through a yearly membership program. Thank you Don and Mike for keeping this establishment up over the years, and I hope to shoot here for the years to come.

I joined in 2022 after getting my premises permit. I called another range on Seneca prior, and the person who answered was very short and dismissive. The owner of this range is polite, patient and knowledgeable. He took time to show me the different firearms, as well as provide information on each one. He also instructed me with patience on how to use them, and then in selecting one for purchase. I haven't been back in a while due to being busy, but I am still a member and will return soon.

I have been thoroughly pleased with this range. The owners are great guys and extremely helpful. They guided me through the difficult process of attaining my permit and made me comfortable with the endless rules involved with having a firearm in NYC. They've been at this for a long time and the experience really shows. Their on-line shop is very extensive and you will find what you need there. I guess the shop part of the range could use some updating and work to make it more comfortable, but that's a small knock. The range itself functions well and there are plenty of lanes. You can shoot rifles, but only 22's. It would be nice if you could fire a bigger caliber, but the range is short. Overall, I highly recommend this range.

Went to this store to purchase ammo. I was told they only sold ammo to members. I bought a firearm and ammo from this store a few years ago, no problem. The person that sold me the firearm and ammo before was the same person that refused to sell me ammo. He was polite but this policy seems a bit odd. Anyway, I will not be purchasing anything from this store again. IΓÇÖm pretty sure itΓÇÖs not going to hurt their business one bit. I wouldnΓÇÖt want service from someone that doesnΓÇÖt want my business. Just needed to get that off my chest.

Don't look for a discount and excellent service. These two things do not go hand in hand. Reason why you get treated like a dog at Home Depot and Walmart for instance. I'm going to rebuild my collection at this location. If they're slightly more expensive, I would rather be treated with respect. More important to me then to save a few dollars.
