Best shooting range in Pinellas County. Lots of different match options in various disciplines, including shotgun, steel challenge, IDPA, USPSA, bullseye, and more.

DoesnΓÇÖt allow you to shoot standing up. RSOΓÇÖs are obnoxious and get on you for shooting ΓÇ£too fastΓÇ¥. If you want to train and improve your skills, this isnΓÇÖt the range for you.

Great place to shoot !!!

Very friendly volunteer staff who will make new shooters feel comfortable and confident with the procedures of safely shooting at a public range. I have come here for one night time event, and brought my wife here for her first time shooting and she had an overwhelmingly positive experience. One of the ROΓÇÖs was kind enough to help me zero my rifle. Only thing I was dissatisfied with was only being able to shoot anything with a stock from a resting position. Great for first timers, or bench rest shooting but do not expect to be training on the public line. No drawing from holsters or upright rifle shooting. All things considered this place is great for first timers or families as there is a tremendous focus on safety. More advanced/training focused shooters will want to look elsewhere.

If you’re looking for a fudd range or to be harassed by the rep’s. This is your place. If you have legally nfa items and can’t wait for someone to pretend to be a ATF agent and demand to see your paperwork then look no further. If you want a lecture on how they support the 2A community and support gun rights BUT…….. I have found a place for you. If you want to be told more than one round every two seconds is excessive. You have come to the right place.

Imagine a range that doesnΓÇÖt allow you to shoot anything outside of a pistol standing up. Welcome to the ΓÇ£I have to rest my rifle on a stand or sandbag to shoot a target 25 feet awayΓÇ¥. Do yourself a favor and go to any other range in the area. Unless your goal is to simply shoot pistol. Outside of that, the staff is friendly and the premise is rather nice. But will pretty much never come to this range again due to the severe limitations.

Tried to find a place to relax and have fun to shoot, but these workers here are so high strung and bossy. Any mistake you make, they get in your face and yell at you like youΓÇÖre in the army. On top of that, it is so cramped and busy, people donΓÇÖt know what theyΓÇÖre doing and it is not very safe. Recommend going to a different range.

I had to revise my review. My first experience was good but my second was not. The range officer wanted to see my tax stamp for my silencer. WhatΓÇÖs next my W2? When did you all become the IRS or ATF? No worries! I wonΓÇÖt be back. I love that they automatically assume youΓÇÖre a criminal and make you prove you are not. Not the kind of business management style I want to support.

As a outdoor range in Pinellas County, this is your only choice. If your shooting a rifle with bipods or and stand of some sort as well as handguns. This is the place for you. If your shooting anything else like a pcc or AR and you want to stand and shoot freehand/ unsupport forget it! They force you to shoot it sitting down supported. This is absolutely the most ridiculous unwritten rule that they have. Have a shotgun you'd like to try out, nope! Not at this range. Gotta be on a different range on the property and a particular day only. It's worth it to make the drive to Manatee instead of here.

Wyoming is a range that has a lot of potential but falls short on a lot of it. Though you may have noticed this range has many good reviews. Many of them are from more newer and inexperienced shooters while the bad reviews are from those more experienced. Wyoming is mainly held back from the rules they implement. Though the rules have gotten better over the years they're still not great. You're not allowed to shoot more than one round every two seconds and you can't off hand shoot with any type of rifle if it's not a rimfire. This heavily restricts you on what you can train and how you can practice. For example if you want to train for self defense where you need to shoot fast and accurately you can't, or you want to practice recoil management with your rifle, can't do that either. The list goes on but I wanna try keeping this relatively short. And for my guys NFA guys they require you to show your tax stamp so take your business elsewhere. The staff here is another big issue. This is the only volunteer run range in Florida and for the most part. They're all old and not people who have kept with the times. These guys give outdated and even sometimes dangerous advice to new gun owners. Just disregard anything these guys say and stick to better resources like YouTube or actual classes which leads me to another point. Wyoming offers a lot of classes & competitions, though I have never attended the competitions which I won't speak on I have attempted to join the classes a lot. Thing is the classes here are near impossible to attend. Even the staff has a difficult time getting into them. You have a better chance of getting into a class elsewhere instead of here which is unfortunate. In conclusion the range has a lot of potential but is held back from the rules, staff and difficulty to attend more advanced classes and I can't recommend it. Your only other local option is shoot straight or something further out like reload, gun craft, shooters world or the many other and better options in the Tampa Bay area.

If you are coming here for a fun time you may want to choose a different range. They’ll expect you to know the range rules but they won’t explain it to you until you do something wrong. The old timer at the front counter very condescending, had to wait for him to get off his phone to give him our day passes, then asked me if I signed in...? Like you would’ve noticed if you weren’t playing on your phone. I was in the military, so I understand the way a drill instructor speaks. We do all have ear pro on and speaking up loudly is required but when you are condescending to an 18 year old kid who is there to learn it really puts a bad taste in their mouth. Instead of myself helping him he was followed around by 3 RO’s, very unprofessional… Then there was the tall mid 40’s gentleman with a beard who is obviously bitter about his time in service and has a major superiority complex. I have never had such a horrible time at the range with my girlfriend’s brother who is only there to learn.. not be belittled by cranky volunteers. All in all it was a great setup they had, just horrible customer service and probably would be useful if some of them took an anger management course.

I personally love the atmosphere of this place. I enjoy outdoor long-range shooting rather than indoor clostrophobic ranges. I took my CCP class here in the spring for cheap money, and it was a great class. The instructors are ex law enforcement, military, and other government retirees with years of experience in all types of firearms, their use and safety They're extremely informative and friendly. If you go to the class you get a serious 1 yr membership discount to the range class day only so be prepared if you want to join. The range fee for non membership is $20 for the day. Come and go as you please. This is a non profit gun range so all the men and women running the ranges volunteer their time to do so. They rifle range 25 to 100 yards They have pistol ranges. They live action rifle / pistol and both clubs on certain nights. There's so much more to know. This review is from my first time there not being in a class. ILL TRY to update this after I go a few more times. Check out their website for a calendar of events and times and anything else you want to know.

Not a fan. The staff had a real attitude with my family and me.

Open air in Florida is not the most comfortable even though they do their best to keep air circulating. It is well 'policed' with staff to make sure that their rules and procedures are adhered to, even if they are in the excess. I am all about safety, but if I wished to be instructed this would likely be the place although they seem to pick and choose whom they allow rude behavior of. It does however provide distance for those who want more than some of the other indoor ranges, but all is basic and not convenient to view or obtain your target to make corrections until you are allowed to walk through mud to get it and bring it back and then post another one, May go back now that we know what to expect, but only for the larger calibers that we want distance for. Attitude there is quite lofty!

used to come years ago and loved the place, came on fathers day this year with my daughter this year and one of the range officers had it in for me , yelling at me for everything I did. I have had drill sergeants that were more considering on any matter. I agreed with any commands but he would not let up. we left.
